Since April 28, the amendment to the German Road Traffic Act not only imposes harsher penalties for speeding, but also for stopping and parking on footpaths and cycle paths. In individual cases, there is a fine of up to 110 euros and a point in Flensburg. The Bad Kreuznach public order office will monitor the new "stationary traffic" regulations - which are primarily intended to protect and strengthen weaker road users such as cyclists and pedestrians - and punish offenders.
