"Rising up against adversity again and again" 

For 16 years, Jürgen Saueressig was the representative for severely disabled employees in the city administration. Major health problems forced the 54-year-old into early retirement. "My right side of my body has been paralyzed since birth." Because he therefore controls his life via his left half, including working on the computer, he has osteoarthritis and severe back pain due to the one-sided strain on his left hand. Unfortunately, disability is therefore unavoidable. "I would have liked to continue", although he now hopes that the pain will be reduced due to the lack of stress and that he will have a better quality of life again.
