Roadworks are currently causing traffic disruptions in many places in the city. In particular, the construction site in connection with the burst water pipe in the Wilhelmstraße/Bourger Platz/Planiger Straße area (municipal utilities) and the closure of Ringstraße between Rheingrafenstraße and Bösgrunder Weg (sewer work by the wastewater company) are affecting the flow of traffic in the city center. "This naturally leads to resentment among citizens when they can only get from A to B with delays," says Lord Mayor Dr. Heike Kaster-Meurer, showing understanding for the current difficult traffic situation.
