Nicolaus Blättermann is currently visiting his home town of Bad Kreuznach. The city's Medal of Honor winner lives with his son, the artist René Blättermann, in Stockelsdorf near Lübeck. Pitt Elben had invited him on a rickshaw tour with KRISTA (Kreuznacher Rikscha-Taxi). In pleasant temperatures, the sprightly senior citizen, who will be 102 years old in October, enjoyed the ride through the Salinen Valley to Bad Münster am Stein Ebernburg and back again.
