The diverse volunteer work of Rhineland-Palatinate residents will be honored at the 18th Statewide Volunteer Day on Sunday, August 29, in Bad Kreuznach. Over 100 organizations, clubs and associations from all over the state have applied for the Volunteer Day. 56 of them will be presenting their services in pagoda tents in Kurhausstraße between Bonhoefferhaus and St. Paul's Church and on the Alte Nahebrücke bridge. A so-called Blue Light Mile (police, fire department, THW and rescue services) is located in Rossstraße. Steffen Bungert, Head of the Volunteer Office in the State Chancellery of Mainz, and Jürgen Cron, Head of the Office for Municipal Affairs and Public Relations, presented the program in a press conference.
