Hope and fear, sadness and joy, the ups and downs of emotions: a country in a state of emergency. In the middle of the lockdown, the Haus der Stadtgeschichte launched its Corona Diary of the City of Bad Kreuznach project on April 17, 2020. "Thanks to digital" was the headline of the first entry, mourning the social distancing that the coronavirus protection measures have forced us to adopt. The greeting to our loved ones and friends via WhatsApp was at least a consolation. A lot has happened since then, much of it for the better, but always with the worry of whether the number of infections will rise again to such an extent that protective measures will have to be stepped up again. We are taking the 100th diary entry today, Thursday, as an opportunity to take stock.
