Manfred Schneider has acquired many qualifications for his task of helping people. During his time as a police officer in Mainz, he was a part-time social contact for colleagues. The 59-year-old is now a recovery counselor, "An expert by experience in psychiatry", a certificate awarded to him by the Rheinhessen-Fachklinik Alzey after a 378-hour training course. His greatest expertise is as a "graduate patient with over 50 years' experience of depression", as he says himself after five stays at the clinic since 1998. Manfred Schneider has been a cooperation partner of the city administration since 2020 and offers "mental health" prevention programs for employees.
