The nationwide warning day will take place on Thursday, December 8. At 11 a.m. on this day, various warning devices will be tested by the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK). The trial warning will be sent from a central location to all warning multipliers connected to the BBK's Modular Warning System (MoWaS). These warning multipliers in turn send the trial warning to end devices such as radio stations or warning apps - for example NINA and KatWarn - according to the systems they use. The aim of the warning day is to sensitize citizens to the topic of warnings.
