The election of Thomas Blechschmidt as mayor of the town of Bad Kreuznach was carried out legally. After the Koblenz Administrative Court dismissed the appeals of his predecessor and two council members, one council member has now also failed with his application for an appeal to have the election of the mayor declared invalid.
In its decision, the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Administrative Court confirms the judgment of the court of first instance. It states that there are no serious doubts as to the correctness of the contested judgment. The VG was right to dismiss the action.
