Over the past few weekends, peaceful protest gatherings have taken place in the city centre of Bad Kreuznach and in numerous other cities in Germany to draw attention to what the organizers consider to be excessive corona restrictions. However, these protests, which are in principle permitted under Article 8 of the Basic Law, were not registered in Bad Kreuznach and therefore violated the Assembly Act. As the assemblies were peaceful, the police and local law enforcement asked the participants to end them and the actions were allowed to end in a controlled manner.
