On January 22, the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons adopted by the United Nations comes into force. Nuclear weapons will then be outlawed and banned under international law. As a member of the "Mayors for Peace" organization, the town of Bad Kreuznach welcomes the entry into force of the treaty. As a sign of support for this event, the Mayors for Peace flag will be flown in Bad Kreuznach and in several other German member cities on Friday, January 22. Mayor Dr. Heike Kaster-Meurer will raise the flag together with representatives of the Network at the Tower and the group "Active for Peace Bad Kreuznach" at 9 a.m. at Europaplatz.
