The federal program "Sprach-Kitas: Because language is the key to the world" is about to end. In the draft for the 2023 federal budget, no further money has been earmarked for the program. Eight municipal daycare centers alone, with their additional specialist staff, would be affected. A nationwide campaign with a petition has been launched to save the language daycare centers after all. The city of Bad Kreuznach is also campaigning to preserve the language daycare centers.
