The new commercial area P.7.1 east of the B 428 between the city center, Planig and Bosenheim has been under development since the end of 2012. Initially, the approximately 23-hectare commercial area, 80 percent of which may be paved according to the development plan, lacked an appropriate drainage system. Since September 2019, a new rainwater retention basin has therefore been built on behalf of the Bad Kreuznach wastewater disposal facility - in the bend of Karl-Förster-Straße between Am Grenzgraben and Seeber Flur. The underground basin made of reinforced concrete has now been completed and is in operation.
