The retractable bollard system in Kurhausstraße near St. Paul's Church has been in operation on a trial basis since today. "We are now going into trial operation to see what can be optimized and make any necessary adjustments," says Lord Mayor Dr. Heike Kaster-Meurer. The bollard will continue to be lowered from Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and access will be free for everyone. Outside of these times, only drivers with an access permit can drive onto the Nahebrücke and towards the historic Neustadt (Klappergasse to Jahngasse).
