New pedestrian bridge ensures access to the sewage treatment plant during floods and around the clock

Until now, every flood on the Nahe has been an unpredictable event for the municipal sewage treatment plant at Lindenmühle: the access road from Gensinger Straße was flooded and some employees even had to be transported to work by helicopter. To ensure the operation of the sewage treatment plant, the city of Bad Kreuznach commissioned a flood bridge. This makes the size 5 sewage treatment plant accessible to pedestrians with trucks 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, at any time of year and in any weather*. Mayor Wolfgang Heinrich has now presented the completed construction project.
