The "marionettissimo" festival is taking place in Bad Kreuznach for the 9th time. The spectrum of the 2020 festival ranges from traditional and contemporary to innovative and experimental puppetry, as a soloist or in an ensemble. Due to the corona pandemic and the associated hygiene measures, the program has been changed. The events will not take place from October to December as originally planned, but will begin as an open-air event at the end of August and end in spring 2021. The marionette festival takes place every two years as a biennial with a smaller themed festival. The state government supports "marionettissimo" as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate Summer of Culture. The organizer is the city of Bad Kreuznach.
