The Jewish synagogue in Bad Kreuznach was built in 1737 and was vandalized and looted by the Nazi mob on the Night of Broken Glass on November 9/10, 1938. In September 2002, the former US church chapel was solemnly consecrated as a new place of worship for the Jewish community. In the gallery, the Jewish community has set up a permanent exhibition about its eventful history with display boards and showcases. The exhibition covers Jewish history in the districts of Bad Kreuznach and Birkenfeld, from the Reichspogromnacht, the deportations and the Holocaust to the present day, and also provides information about Jewish holidays and the Shabbat.
