The first memorial to the Jewish victims of National Socialism was erected in Bad Kreuznach 50 years ago. "The memorial plaque for the former synagogue was dedicated on 27 March 1971," says Lord Mayor Dr. Heike Kaster-Meurer, referring to this special date. "Since then, we have cultivated and further developed the culture of remembrance in our city." Pupils are involved in the memorial days on January 27 and November 9. There are now seven memorials that commemorate the victims and crimes of the National Socialists.
