"de Hombes" came to the reception at the Haus der Stadtgeschichte to celebrate his 90th birthday on his motorcycle. The jubilarian was presented with many gifts and also had a valuable present for the town in his "spiritual luggage": his extensive collection of photos and books, for which town archivist Franziska Blum-Gabelmann expressed her heartfelt thanks. "His photos also show a Bad Kreuznach far removed from the postcard idyll." The reception room was decorated with banners showing "Stiggelcher" and photos of Hombes.
