For the second time since its move to the Haus der Stadtgeschichte in March 2020, the city archive has been closed since December 2020 due to the coronavirus protection regulations. Even without visitors, city archivist Franziska Blum-Gabelmann and her team have a lot of work to do. In addition to answering inquiries, cataloging collections is an ongoing task for archives. The donations and estates of citizens are very diverse: paintings, engravings, photos, documents, but also diaries, letters, postcards, trophies, medals, coins, plaques, film and sound recordings are recorded, evaluated, cataloged, photographed and stored in the respective stacks.
