The city's oldest council book from 1509 and council minutes up to 1612 have been restored with funding from the Rhineland-Palatinate State Conservation Agency and thus protected from further damage. At a cost of almost 20,000 euros, mold and cracks were removed, pages dry-cleaned and reglued. For the move to the new Haus der Stadtgeschichte, the state office financed, among other things, archive boxes in which the archive materials are stored properly.
