Every year on July 8, hundreds of "Mayors for Peace" cities across Germany send a visible signal for a peaceful world without nuclear weapons. The city of Bad Kreuznach has also been a member of Mayors for Peace since 2019. Mayor Dr. Heike Kaster-Meurer raised the green and white peace flag at Europaplatz on Flag Day together with members of the local "Active for Peace Bad Kreuznach" network.
