The new town is to be revitalized. To help build a bridge between the city center and the old town, a "bench with a heart" is now being installed on the Nahebrücke bridge. Following an appeal by the "Wirsindkreuznach" campaign, there was an immediate willingness to realize the idea. Despite the lockdown, the bench will be inaugurated on the afternoon of 13 February, the Saturday before Valentine's Day, in the presence of Lord Mayor Dr. Heike Kaster-Meurer. This is also intended as a signal that the business people are looking forward to the reopening of their stores and the return of their customers.
