One of the last of more than 20,000 bundles of blackthorn was installed by grader Aleksandr Japs in the last compartment at the very top of the crown in the graduation tower at the swimming pool bridge (number 2). There was little room for the workers to move in the last section. This means that 120 meters of arbor wall with 54 compartments have been renewed for this year. The old thorns were removed, the wooden scaffolding refurbished and then the new sloe branches - supplied from Poland - were installed.
