The Andre Beitner hut on the Kuhberg recreational area has been inaugurated with a hearty barbecue. The construction was financed entirely by donations. Almost 20,000 euros flowed into the account of Waldhilfe e.V., the project sponsor, which itself contributed a basic fund of 3,000 euros. Lord Mayor Emanuel Letz thanked Waldhilfe, the donors and the project team for the "gift that visitors to the recreational area will enjoy". The leaseholders of the recreational area, Eric Thomas and Markus Saueressig, are responsible for renting out the hut, which is also suitable for large celebrations due to its dimensions (diameter of eight meters).
