Two young FSJ volunteers are currently working at the "Die Mühle" youth development center to support menstruating women and raise awareness about periods. As part of their project, testimonials revealed that periods are a taboo subject in our society and that a lack of information creates great fear and shame. This often leads to social restrictions, as school, events and public life are avoided in order to avoid unpleasant situations.
